Systems Administrator I/II (This is a remote position open to applicants residing in TX, NM, AZ or KS)
Job Description As a Systems Administrator, you are part of a team that provides escalation support for customer IT systems. Each day, you will work to ensure issues are processed quickly and effectively for the highest support levels and perform complex repairs to software or peripheral equipment configurations, following design or installation specifications. To ensure incidents and tickets are filled out according to company standards, you will document steps taken to remediate issues in a detailed and professional manner and enter time accurately. Systems Administrators provide high-level oversight to ticket boards to aid in delivery of service-level agreements and high service standards.
Occasionally, Systems Administrators provide training to users in the proper use of hardware and/or software. You will answer user inquiries to resolve issues, set up user accounts, and configure email access through multiple applications. You will refer major hardware and/or software issues or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
As part of the escalations team, you will also provide mentorship to team members and peers and delegate tickets and tasks as necessary.
The position is part of an on-call rotation.
Requirements
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in IT support or a related field
Strong knowledge of Tier 1 & 2 IT technologies and support processes
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement
